TS DOQ© and Tegra 1000 PE shafts – installation of a pressurised waste-water pipeline for a water treatment plant in Hessisch Oldendorf (Germany).
The waste-water treatment plant of the town of Hessisch Oldendorf collects and transports waste water for the entire urban area. It is responsible for the operation and maintenance of about 170 km of waste-water conduits and some 110 km of rainwater drainage channels, along with 20 pumping stations and 10 rain-retention reservoirs. The company Kläranlagengesellschaft Hessisch Oldendorf mbH and the town’s water treatment plant handle waste water from domestic users and also the effluent produced by the local carpet factory. The average annual capacity of 1.1 million cubic metres places the plant’s cleaning performance among the best in Lower Saxony. As the discharges from the carpet factory have been greatly reduced in recent years, the organisations responsible for handling waste water have decided to improve utilisation and efficient cleaning performance by handling all effluent in the Hessisch Oldendorf treatment plant. The plan envisaged the laying of the necessary pressurised waste-water conduit as a pipeline of about 7 km in length, running parallel to the B 83 road between the Fishbeck works and the sewage treatment plant, and the route was traced out accordingly.
